Ni-Plast Parshall flumes are manufacturing confirm to Indian standard IS 14371:1996 and using high quality grade resins and glass fibers to sustain tremendous load of flowing water and their high velocity. Parshall flume discharge measurement system is supported with “Electronic Discharge Measuring Recorders” for 24x365 days for automatic data recording.

FRP V-Notches are useful for seapage measurement of irrigation dam and toe drains. Discharge in V-Notches can measure from 6 lit/second to 120 liter/second. In V-notch, advantage is of head over the crest is large and thus flow remains un-affected by surface tension and viscosity. Limitation of V-Notch is small discharge range and V-plate itself become obstruction to silt and hence not suitable for field channels in irrigation and for waste water management. Ni-Plast make V-Notches are manufacturing confirm to Indian Standard IS 9108:1979 and having molded and engraved gauge marking for measuring discharge in lit/second and level in centimeter. Provision can made on demand to remove V-Plate as and when require cleaning silt gathered in V-Notch.

Replogle flumes are most accurate flumes and easy for installation. Due to vertical crest in downstream of flume above CBL, heavy scouvering and energy dissipation problems may come. Hence in India it is using only for laboratory and research institutes level. Ni-Plast Replogle Flumes are moulded, single piece FRP flume without joint. Gauge plate is molded and engraved for discharge and level measurements. Moulded arrow is given to understand flow direction and discharge table is attached with information of calibration formula, installation procedure and ready reckoner for discharge measurement.

Standing wave Flumes are commonly using for discharge measurements in extremely large capacity canals. Advantages of SWF are comparatively lesser head loss than all other flumes. But difficult to construct for maintaining dimensions and slopes in downstream side. Most of SWF are failed due to limitation of construction. Standard design sections like other flumes are not available for SWF. Ni-Plast make Standing Wave Flumes are available only for laboratory purpose. Gauge marking, discharge table, arrow for flow direction are available.

Orifice Meter is using at laboratory and research level for discharge measurement. Orifice meter are practically abounded due to considerable fall, excessive loss of head and silt deposition in upstream side. Ni-Plast make orifice meters are made of FRP and having 50 mm to 120mm orifice. Discharge range is from 15 liter/second to 100 liter/ second. Gauge marking in centimeter and liter/ second is given on orifice plate. Discharge table is given with calibration formula for free flow condition.

H-Flume are very accurate for discharge measurement in open channel. Advantage of H-Flume is wide opening at high flows to reduce backwater effect. Due to complicated geometry, it is not much popular in India. Ni-Plast make H-Flumes are made in FRP with gauge marking at both wings of H-Flumes and shows discharges in liter/second and water level in flume for free flow condition.
